Travelling from Dublin - route N7
Approaching Limerick on route N7, follow the signs for Cork, Tralee and Killarney. After Annacotty village, (about four miles from Limerick) there is a series of roundabouts (rotaries or turning circles). Go straight through the first three roundabouts. At the fourth one you will see the Parkway Shopping Centre, ahead left. Take the first exit off this roundabout, signed for Cork and Waterford.
This will put you on the ring road (Childers Road) which skirts the south side of the city. Go straight through the next three roundabouts each time following the sign for Cork (N20), Tralee, and Killarney. (At the last of these three is the Roxboro Shopping Centre, ahead right.)
About a quarter of a mile later turn left at the traffic lights, signed for Cork Tralee and Killarney. Go straight through the roundabout a quarter mile ahead. Keep going straight ahead, and after a further quarter mile is another roundabout. Go straight though that, again signed for Cork, Tralee and Killarney. this puts you onto a dual carriageway of motorway grade.
After one mile on the dual carriageway is the the first exit ramp. It is signed for Dooradoyle, and (in brown) for Limerick Golf Club. Take that exit, and take the first exit off the roundabout at the top of the ramp, all the time following the sign for Limerick Golf Club.
Continue on this road; after half a mile, there is a small rural road to the right; it has a circular sign restricting traffic to vehicles of less than 3.5 tons. Turn right here, and continue for a quarter mile. Our home is the second house on the left. There is a Quality Approved Shamrock on the sign at the gate.
