Travelling from Ballybunion, Tarbert or Askeaton - route N69
The village of Clarina on Route N69 is about four miles from Limerick City. Go through Clarina, and after about a mile and a half on this route N69 you reach the village of Mungret. After a further half mile you come to a roundabout (rotary or turning circle). Take the second exit - signed N20 & N21, Cork, Killarney - off this roundabout, continue for about half a mile and you reach a second roundabout. Take the first exit,- signed "Local Traffic" and continue straight for just less than a mile, where you come to a Tee junction - onto route N20. Take the left exit and continue for a quarter mile until you reach another roundabout; this is marked Ballykeeffe Roundabout.
At this roundabout you will see the Crescent Shopping Centre on the far right, easily identified by the ''M'' logo of McDonald's fast food chain. Go around the roundabout, and take the second exit - signed Local Traffic - this is equivalent to a right-hand turn,and it leads you onto Dooradoyle Road.
Continue along Dooradoyle Road for about three quarters of a mile until you meet a roundabout. Go straight through it (i.e. second exit). Visible just 100 yards ahead is another roundabout. Go left, taking the first exit off this second roundabout and continue for another half mile.
Here you meet the final two roundabouts. Go straight through the first one, crossing over the bridge immediately ahead and onto the second roundabout. There is only one exit from this second roundabout, and it takes you onto the road immediately ahead.
Continue on this road; after exactly half a mile, there is a small rural road to the right; it has a circular sign restricting traffic to vehicles of less than 3.5 tons. Turn right here, and continue for a quarter mile. Our home is the second house on the left. There is a Quality Approved Shamrock on the sign at the gate.
