Sport
In Clonaslee Vocational School, sport is a big thing. Basketball, football and hurling are played and the teams are always successful. Mrs. Sweeney coaches Basketball and Mr. Whelan, Mr. Dunne and Mr. Dillon coach football and hurling.
On Wednesdays the two classes between break and lunchtime are given up to sport or study. If students are not interested in sports then they can have two classes study. Girls are allowed to play basketball and boys are allowed to play football and hurling.
The Girls Basketball Team are an All Ireland Basketball Team; they won the Group C Tournament in 1999. The All Ireland match was played in Basketball Arena in Tallaght. They played against Rathangan. The Boys Football Team won the Phelan Cup in 2001; because of the Foot and Mouth Disease the league was made into a Blitz!
