Earth 2001

Earth 2001 took place at Clonaslee Vocational School on Friday the 9th of November. Earth 2001 was held to make us aware of ways in which we should take care and protect our planet. The day consisted of 13 different schools coming to Clonaslee vocational school and taking part in different workshops. Some of the workshops were Green Mantel and Conservation Volunteers of Ireland. The workshops lasted about 30 minutes each. Most of us students of Clonaslee took part in helping that day by catering, being a guide and some students were involved in the entertainment that took place in the evening.

After the entertainment there was a lot of speeches some came from Mr. Bates, Claire o’ Grady Walshe (who was one of the organizers) and Ms Calt our religion teacher who was responsible for the day running so smoothly. Certificates were handed out to everyone who took part in earth 2001 such as all the students that came and displayed their projects.

Earth 2001 ended as a success and everyone enjoyed his or her day at Clonaslee vocational school.
