Herb GardenThe garden has two proposes, one of them is the growth of ordinary herbs that we use in our cooking to add flavour to our food like herbs such as thyme, sage, mint, chives, and phenol and the other is medicinal herbs which are used in relaxation therapies and some in the cure of headaches such as lavender and other herbs that help sooth and relax the mind and the body. The reason why we built the herb garden outside the Home Economics room was so that the students that do home economics have an easy access to the garden and the herbs for their cooking classes. We also planted rhubarb and strawberries in the garden. Everyone enjoyed and thought it was a good experience because we got to learn how to construct, sow and maintain a garden and it was great fun with Mr Dunne and Mrs Calt. |
