The South West Regional Authority has secured the designation, by the European Commission, of the Region as one of 22 pilot regions for the development of the European Region Society. STAND RISI Homepage.

Rattoo Heritage Society welcomes you to the Kerry Community Information Access Webpages for the sixteen pilot areas chosen in Kerry for the project. In December of 1997 the South West Regional Authority invited us to design, programme and maintain a web site for the 16 centres involved in the Kerry Pilot project. Rattoo will also be involved in the education and training programme (in computer technology) for the Kerry centres.

Each participating region within the European Network, is preparing a Strategic Plan for the use of Information and Communication Technologies as tools for the Regional Development.

The STAND RISI Partnership, formed by the Regional Authority, is conducting a range of pilot and demonstrational Projects throughout the South West with a view to heightening awareness of the Information Society's potential to generate growth and employment in the region.
The partnership is continuously expanding and includes members from all Sectors of the South West Region. The South West Regional Authority would like to thank Ireland On Line for their generousity in providing free web space and connections for the pilot project.
