Killeshandra, viewed from the Croghan River Killeshandra is a rural village set in the middle of the unspoilt countryside of Co Cavan. Surrounded by green fields, forests, lakes and rivers it offers the visitor a relaxed and enjoyable break from the frantic rush of everyday city life.
FISHING Fishing on the shore of the Town Lake
The town is situated among some of the best fishing rivers and lakes in
country. For the last number of years the town has hosted the King of Clubs Championship. There is a local angling club which provides advice and assistance to
visitors.
All-Ireland Power Boat Championships, June 1997 Killeshandra Town Lake is now a venue for a round of the All-Ireland
Power Boat Championships.
Water skiing and jet skiing are also very popular.
Killykeen Forest Park Killeshandra is only 3 miles from the magnificent forest park at
Killykeen.
Killeshandra offers, within a twelve mile radius, numerous activities
for people to enjoy. Killeshandra is also a recognised centre of
