The purpose of this course is to enable the course participants to consider and debate contemporary issues.The sessions will be seminar-led following a brief introduction. The issues in the programme have included: Accountability, Appraisal, Boards of Management, Bullying, Co-operative Learning,The Curriculum, Parents and Education, Planning of Education, Legal aspects of Education.

This module focused on system as well as school level, aims to create an awareness of the capability of the new information and communication technologies as regards making radical changes in the delivery of teaching and learning.Hence, students will
§See modern development of ICTs in a historical context;
§Understand the radical social and organisational implications of ICT development;
§Be aware of new technologies
§Be able to identify ways in which the roles of teachers and learning organisations will change;
§Be provided with a comparative international basis for local planning;
§Plan for their own circumstances.
