Following a very successful career in sales and marketing from the early sixties to mid seventies during which I reached the level of Export Sales Director (worldwide) and finally joint Managing Director I took the decision to embark on a career change to residential property investment and management in the Dublin area. In 1974, while still pursuing my goals in sales and marketing, I bought my first 'multiple dwelling' investment just 10 minutes walk from St. Stephen's Green - the recreational oasis in the heart of Dublin. When that first purchase had been refurbished and was up and running I started casting around for other investment/rental properties and soon acquired several more - this time in the prestige Ballsbridge area of the city. At the same time I gained valuable experience in organising, supervising and managing my, by now, substantial personal portfolio.
In the early 1980's, responding to a perceived demand by prospective homemakers who did not wish to actually purchase property, the Irish government introduced tax incentives to exncourage the building of modern rental apartments and townhouses - the so called Section 23, Section 27 and Designated Area schemes. This resulted in the arrival in the letting marketplace of a large number of top class rental units and a general boom in the construction industry as confirmed by usually positive news in the Irish media. Faced with this competition, I decided to upgrade all my properties and embarked on a nine months total refurbishment and renovation programme. At the same time, in response to suggestions from a number of other owners, I first offered my total property management to third parties and developed my ability to tailor a specific management package to suit any level of requirement. Now, in addition to my own properties, I manage investment/rental residential properties for a steadily growing number of other investors - based both in Ireland and overseas.
My time spent crisscrossing the world had given me an insight to the accommodation needs of travel weary corporate executives and I was determined to eventually offer a special 'medium term alternative accommodation service' for both international executives and other visitors in the Dublin area.
I also offer a comprehensive and very efficient service to prospective tenants who seek good quality longterm accommodation (apartments, flats and houses) in the Dublin area.
