Ballsbridge, so called after the bridge built over the river Dodder in 1791, is a very upmarket suburb of Dublin close to the city centre. In overseas terms it could be compared to Belgravia or Chelsea in London and perhaps Beverly Hills or Bel Air in Los Angeles. Ballsbridge houses most of the main foreign embassy missions to Ireland.

A very significant landmark in Ballsbridge is the headquarters of The Royal Dublin Society. Founded in 1731, the R.D.S. was formed when 14 men met in Trinity College and agreed to establish what was to be called the 'Dublin Society for improving Husbandry, Manufactures and other useful Arts'. During the intervening years the R.D.S. has made a unique contribution to Irish life and it's magnificent grounds and stadium are home to the world famous annual Dublin Horse Show. The stadium is also used for outdoor pop concerts and many world class acts have appeared there including Rod Stewart, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Tina Turner and 'our own' U2.

Ballsbridge is the choice for residence of many diplomats, government ministers and leaders in the commercial and cultural community.

Ballsbridge is a prime area in which to purchase residential investment/rental property. The area is much sought after by tenants and substantial levels of rental income can be achieved. Impressive capital appreciation on any property purchased is virtually assured.
