St. Stephen's Green provides an oasis of calm and tranquility in the centre of the busy metropolis of Dublin city. Many city workers and visitors can be seen taking the sun on balmy summer days or rustling through the fallen leaves in autumn. Every day throughout the year young families bring their children to participate in the traditional activity of feeding the ducks on the St. Stephen's Green lake.

The Green, apart from being part of the lungs of the city, provides a reference point for citizens and visitors alike. Many destinations in other parts of Dublin are described as being X miles/kilometres/minutes from 'The Green'.

The Green is right on the doorstep of one of the major shopping areas of Dublin. Grafton Street and St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre feature many fine stores and boutiques of all sizes. It also borders on many other commercial, cultural and residential areas in the city centre and is close to 'Temple Bar' - that part of Dublin, which is compared to 'The Left Bank' in Paris. Trinity College (Dublin University) and other educational institutions are within minutes walk of the Green.

The Green is a prime area in which to purchase residential investment/rental property and many tenants are attracted by the advantages of renting and living in the city centre. Residential rental property in this area is much sought after and excellent rent levels can be achieved. Capital appreciation on property in the area of St.Stephen's Green tends to be positive and substantial.
