The old school

The old school is sisuated in Coolavokig long side the N22 (National Primary Road 22).

It was built in 1824. The outside walls were yellow and the inside walls were white.

It has five windows and four doors. It has two classrooms and in each classroom had a fireplace.

The boy's toilets are beside the school and the girl's toilets or behind the school. There is a huge rock long side the school that the children used has a slide.

The well was across the road and every morning they had to draw the water to the school in buckets. It had a playground which they played football. Once there was a fire there and it made a patch in the roof and burned several swarms of bees.

The headmaster lived in the green house longside the school and Johnny Moynihan owns.
