About Worldflight 2007
WorldFlight USA is a virtual Round the World flight over 7 days in aid of charity. Four PC Pilots Ireland members will travel to Washington, USA, where they will join Greg Coyle and fly the route on his B737-700 simulator. The fun starts on the 4th November 2007 and over the following 7 days, our team of 8 will fly around the world on a determined route. Departing from Sydney, Australia, we will fly 45 arrivals and departures, including Nanjing, Vladivostok, Moscow, Riyadh, Tripoli, Prague, Amsterdam, Birmingham, Dublin, Keflavic, Montreal, Washington, Miami, St. Maarten, Mexico, Anchorage, Nagasaki, Bangkok, Manila, Perth, ending at Melbourne.
All flights will be flown on the VATSIM network, using real-world procedures with live ATC and real-time weather. We will be joining other WorldFlight teams from Australia, UK, Canada, Austria and Scotland. We welcome any number of VATSIM Pilots to join us on any part of the flight. You can follow our progress via interactive flight tracking, streaming video and audio during the event at www.wfusa2007.org.

The Cockpit Simulator is modelled on a B737-800 aircraft and incorporates almost all the instruments and controls found in a real Boeing Simulator. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 software will provide the visuals (Airports, Terrain etc.) and additional add-on software will provide real-time weather, flight model, glass cockpit instruments and flight management computers.
